Whereas the official images released by Ferrari revealed a black-finished LaFerrari Aperta (name unconfirmed), with red accents, the latest scoop shows the hypercar wearing its traditional red color.
Unveiled earlier this month, the latest convertible in the Prancing Horse’s lineup is still not ready to reveal its secrets just yet, but since it was taken to the streets of Maranello, we assume that engineers are probably making the final tweaks, ahead of its public debut at the upcoming Paris Motor Show.
Ferrari has made sure that fine-tuning the chassis and bodywork won’t affect its performance over the coupe and, even with its roof down, the Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta will still be capable to achieve the same mind-boggling numbers. This means less than 3 seconds for the 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) sprint and a top speed up to 217 mph (350 km/h).
Previous sources indicated that roughly 150 units will be put together, unlike the coupe, which came out in 499 examples, and even if one is willing to pay the rumored price tag of €3.5 million ($3.9 million), buying one straight from the factory is impossible, since all of them have been already spoken for.
