When it comes to car diversity, few racing games can match Forza Motorsport 6. There’s everything for everybody, more so with the July update.
Continuing the path of monthly updates, the Turn 10 Select Car Pack brings a group of cars that celebrates all forms of motoring, from European eccentricities, to American motorsport icons. The entire pack costs $7, albeit customers can opt to buy each vehicle individually, as it includes a selection of seven cars.
One of the three motorsport-bred vehicles, is the 1080hp Mercedes-Benz #24 Tankpool24 Racing Truck. Weighing at least 5,500 kg (12,125 lbs), this behemoth is limited to 160 km/h (100 mph) in real life due to safety reasons. To satisfy the thirst for racing, Forza also offers the #14 Emil Frey Jaguar XK GT3, the #4 Chevrolet ROAL Motorsport RML Cruze TC1 WTCC and the 1969 Ford Brawner Hawk III – a four-wheel-drive, Ford-powered Lotus that won the Indy 500 two full laps ahead of second place.
Other cars included in the pack are the 1980 Fiat 124 Sport Spider, the 2015 McLaren 570S Coupe and the 1957 BMW Isetta 300 Export – a 298cc single-cylinder “bubble car”, good for 13 hp and 85 km/h (53 mph). And no, contrary to the second video, a Isetta can’t outrun a 1080hp Mercedes-Benz racing truck.
Unless, this is Forza we’re talking about, so who knows what engine swap is available for the tiny car.
