Many people can own a supercar, but very, very few can lay claim to having their own island. This guy is one of those few. But he wants to trade places. Wait, what?

Mr. Emilio Cirelli is trying to trade his own, private, undeveloped island for supercars for some years now. He was first discovered by Jalopnik on Craigslist, back in 2013, when he was trying to get an Enzo in exchange for the property.

Now, the same island – valued at $1,000,000 – is being put up for trade on Racing Junk, only this time Mr. Cirelli wants a Porsche 918 Spyder. The premise is located 10 miles (16 km) south of Daytona Beach, Florida, and he wants an even trade.

In a recent interview with Teamspeed, Cirelli said that he sold the island twice in the past 10 years for $1,000,000, but got it back due to foreclosures. How come he’s willing to part with it? Because he has a couple more.

“I got into the real estate business about 29 years ago when I moved down to Florida. I was in the restaurant business, but I saw some potential in the real estate market, and I always wanted to own an island. Finally, the opportunity came, and I was interested. I actually have two other islands. I have one in Jacksonville and one in Ormond Beach.”

As a car guy, who had about 40 Alfa Romeos and Maseratis over the years, Cirelli now wants the Porsche due to its drivability, lower maintenance and everyday usage.

“I own a 911, and I feel like the Porsche is one of the best cars made. It’s drivable, less expensive, maintenance is better. You can get in and drive it, whereas the Ferrari you probably can’t drive it everyday.”

They’re more practical. I believe there would be less maintenance, and it’s more drivable. It’s more of a car you could use daily. The others [LaFerrari, P1], after 5,000 miles you have to bring them in and have a $30,000 service.”

LaFerrari and P1 are welcome, too, as he’s willing to give the island for one of those as well.
