The UK arm of Alfa Romeo is getting ready to welcome the new Giulia, releasing at the same time range and pricing details of the hotly-anticipated model.
The new Alfa Romeo Giulia will be available in the UK in five trim levels, Giulia, Super, Tecnica, Speciale and the range-topping Quadrifoglio. The available color palette includes 13 different exterior color options.
Customers in the UK will be able to choose between four engines -two petrol and two diesel units which are all paired to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The range kicks off with the turbocharged 197hp (200PS) 2.0-litre petrol engine, followed by two 2.2-litre diesel units with 148hp (150PS) and 178hp (180PS) respectively.
The remaining engine is of course the 503hp (510PS) twin-turbo 2.9-litre V6 engine that powers the Quadrifoglio version which will be offered only as an automatic in the UK market.
Entry-level models get lots of standard kit, including a range of active safety systems like Forward Collision Warning with Autonomous Emergency Brake with pedestrian recognition, Integrated Brake System, and Lane Departure Warning. Other standard features include a 6.5″ display infotainment system with DAB plus MP3 and Bluetooth connectivity, 8-speaker audio system, rear parking sensors and cruise control.
Pricing starts at £29,180 for the base petrol model and reaches all the way up to £59,000 for the M3-rivalling Quadrifoglio version. Alfa Romeo says that the first cars are expected to reach the UK shores later this year.
