Audi’s smallest crossover is now available to order in the UK, with the company also announcing the addition of the Edition #1 to its lineup.
Customers will be initially able to choose between three trim levels from launch -SE, Sport and S Line- and two engine options, the 148hp 1.4-litre TFSI petrol and the 113hp 1.6-litre TDI diesel.
The 1.4-litre TFSI engine features Cylinder On Demand technology to deactivate its second and third cylinders during partial loads and when coasting for better fuel efficiency, allowing it to return a combined 54.3 mpg UK and CO2 emissions as low as 119g/km. The 1.6-litre TDI version returns a combined 64.2 mpg UK and 114g/km of CO2 emissions.
Pricing kicks off at £22,380 OTR, with more engines and an even lower pricing point to follow shortly with the addition of the turbocharged 1.0-litre TFSI petrol which will cost £20,230 OTR when it will join the range.
Audi will also offer the range-topping Q2 Edition #1. The special edition is finished in Quantum grey with contrasting lower body sections painted in Manhattan grey and black C-Pillars. A set of 19-inch black diamond cut alloys combined with matching front grille, rear diffuser and door mirrors completes the looks of this special Q2.
The interior gains a set of sports seats upholstered in fine Nappa leather with brown contrasting stitching. The same theme continues to the floor mats, kneepads and door armrests.
Apart from the entry-level 1.0-litre TFSI version, Audi will also add a 148hp 2.0-litre TDI and a 187hp 2.0-litre TDI later this year with a petrol 2.0-litre TFSI engine mated exclusively to an S-Tronic gearbox and the company’s Quattro system scheduled for mid-2017.
