McLaren is bringing a whole slew of its supercars to Monterey this year, including the one you see here.
It’s a one-off concept based on the 570GT, prepared by McLaren’s own Special Operations division.
The McLaren 570GT by MSO Concept is done up in pearl white with the gloss black trim on the wheels, door inserts, side skirts, and inside the cockpit. But there’s much more to it than the exterior appearance.
Around back is a titanium exhaust derived from the system on the 675LT, heat-shielded in gold-tinted titanium nitride in a nod to the original McLaren F1. The glass roof has been upgraded with an electro-chromatic panel that can change its tint at the touch of a finger – a much-needed feature, we found from driving the 570GT recently, where the cockpit can get rather hot under the bright sun.
The interior, meanwhile, is enhanced with special saddle-tan leather, 12-speaker Bowers and Wilkins audio system and glossy carbon-fiber trim. Like the previous MSO Concepts that McLaren has showcased at Pebble Beach, this latest serves to highlight just some of the customization options available to customers.
