The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has awarded the 2017 Infiniti QX60 with a 5-star overall safety rating in the New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) testing.
After the previous model year with top honors from the agency, the premium crossover’s rating follows a Top Safety Pick Plus scored from the IIHS this spring.
“As our best-selling SUV, the Infiniti QX60 was designed with safety and versatility as its number one priorities. With safety features including Predictive Forward Collision Warning and Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection available, the QX60 incorporates industry-leading safety technologies to help ensure a secure driving experience“, commented Infiniti of Americas’ VP, Randy Parker.
NHTSA has yet to release full details on the dummies’ measurements during the latest crash test session, but in the meantime, we will remind you that Infiniti has brought the QX60 in line with the rest of the range for the new MY by refurbishing its exterior, late last year. Other improvements performed to the SUV include better ride comfort, reduced body roll, tweaked power steering, the addition of new equipment packages and an updated color palette.
