Despite witnessing a strong run in the first six months of the year, when it delivered 6 percent more vehicles in the USA, July came with an 18 percent decrease in local sales for Porsche.
The company’s best-selling model remains the Cayenne full-sized SUV, with 1,067 units finding new homes, down from last July’s 1,471, followed closely by the smaller Macan, whose sales plunged from 1,533 to 931 examples. The 911 and Boxster/Cayman were selected by 778 and 538 clients, respectively, while the Panamera accounted for 370 units.
Porsche’s year-to-date sales in the United States are up 2.4 percent, from 29,868 to 30,586, when the best-seller was the Cayenne again, with 9,474 units delivered to their rightful owners, followed by the Macan, with 7,781, the 911 with 5,850, the Boxster/Cayman range with 3,726 and the Panamera, with 2,862 units sold.
The brand’s certified pre-owned vehicle sales increased by 13.7 percent last month, to 1,426 examples, compared to the same period of 2015, while the year-to-date sales are up 21.9 percent, with 9,792 vehicles.
