The Korando LE, which benefits from additional equipment and a new 2.2-liter diesel engine, has just been added to the SUV’s UK range.
Priced from £17,995 ($23,219) with the 6-speed manual gearbox or £18,995 ($24,510) when fitted with the 6-Speed Aisin automatic, the 2WD SUV is powered by a fresh diesel engine that replaces the old 2.0-liter unit, it’s Euro 6-compliant and has been equipping the Korando and Rexton LCVs ever since this spring.
The is rated at 178 PS (175 HP) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque, delivered from as low as 1,400 rpm, consumes 53.3 mpg UK (44.3 mpg US / 5.3 lt/100 km) of fuel on the combined cycle and emits 139 g/km CO2.
On the outside, it features a selection of white, metallic black, blue and the new Galaxy Green exterior colors, along with piano black radiator grille, clear glass indicators, side steps and distinctive 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels.
Open the door and you will be greeted by the 7-inch high-res touchscreen with audio streaming, TomTom navi, rearview camera, USB memory slot, Aux and HDMI ports. The SUV also features automatic air conditioning, privacy glass, heated front seats, rear parking sensors and high-mounted LED brake light.
All models in the Korean manufacturer’s lineup are covered by a 5-year, limitless mileage warranty, while wearable components, such as brake friction materials and clutch discs, are covered for one year or 12,000 miles (19,312 km) and the paintwork and battery are guaranteed for three years.
