You won’t have to head to the Middle East to check out the outrageous supercars from W Motors. Not this month, at least, because the Dubai-based manufacturer is bringing its exotic wheels to the United States.
W Motors will be on hand for Monterey Car Week for the second year running now, bringing with it the Lykan HyperSport and – for the first time on US soil – the Fenyr SuperSport as well. They’ll be on hand for such events as McCall’s Motorworks Revival and Exotics on Cannery Row.
The latter just marked its world debut at the Dubai Motor Show last November, packing a 4.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six into an aluminum chassis with carbon-fiber bodywork. Tuned by RUF, the engine kicks out 900 horsepower through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission to reach 62 in under 2.7 seconds and top out at nearly 250 miles per hour.
No more than 25 examples will be made each year, making this a rare opportunity to see one in person – not to mention the even more exclusive Lykan. W Motors’ first project packs less of a punch, with 780 horsepower, but is even more rare, with only seven examples to be produced, priced at $3.4 million apiece.
