As a rare survivor of the Flower Power era and one that is still in top-notch condition, this Volkswagen Beetle Coupe will surely change hands rather fast.
Produced in 1967 and purchased new in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, it carries a Yukon Yellow finish on its body, adorned with all the right chrome details, and complemented by a roof-mounted wood and metal rack, and a set of 15-inch steel wheels, wrapped in Firestone Gum-Dipped whitewall tires.
Despite getting ready to blow fifty candles, this classic Beetle has new brake lines, brake hoses, emergency brake, shock absorbers, front and rear sway bar links, and other associated hardware, as the vendor explains in the ad posted on eBay, which had 25 bids, raising the price to $9,600, at the time of writing.
The interior is as clean as they come and it’s dominated by the tan leatherette on the seats, matching tan door panels, tan carpet, painted dashboard, original steering wheel and gearshift lever, and a Sapphire VI AM/FM radio, made by Bendix.
Powered by a 53 HP 1.5-liter, flat four-cylinder engine, mated to a four-speed manual transmission, and with its odometer indicating just 6,366 miles (10,245 km), the Volkswagen Beetle is currently located in St. Louis, Missouri, and it’s accompanied by the instruction and maintenance manual, and extra key sets.
