Set to take on the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45, the RS3 Sedan was unveiled yesterday at the 2016 Paris Auto Show.
Topping even the Sportback’s output, it is powerful enough to complete the naught to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint in just 4.1 seconds. It can reach an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph), which can be increased up to 280 km/h (174 mph).
The 2.5-liter TFSI mounted at the front pushes 400 PS (394 HP) and 480 Nm (354 pound-feet) of torque to the Quattro permanent all-wheel drive system through an S-tronic seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, thus becoming the most powerful five-banger money can buy.
If its growl isn’t enough to make it stand out from its lesser siblings, then the beefed up body kit is definitely placing it on the map, starting with the specific RS grille, ‘quattro’ lettering, RS3 badges, aggressive front and rear bumpers, larger side skirts, and a discreet boot lid spoiler.
Time to see how it looks like on the move, and, rest assured, high-revving and fast cornering are included in the footage.
