Just in case you needed more proof of how quick Lamborghini’s V12 monster really is.

The most hardcore version of the big Lambo needs no introduction; the Aventador SV has already proven that it’s capable of sub-7 minute lap-times on the Nurburgring, something only Porsche was able to achieve with its much more expensive, petrol-electric 918 Spyder (Radical has too, but you can hardly call their models road-legal).

Lamborghini updated the 6.5-litre V12 engine to produce 740hp (750PS) and 690Nm (508lb ft) of torque. Combined with a lighter by 50kg body, the Aventador SV boasts an amazing 2,03kg/hp power-to-weight ratio.

Add to that the extreme aero agenda that increases downforce by 170 per cent over the regular Aventador and a specific suspension setup, complete with adaptive dampers and it’s no wonder that this Lambo is one hell of a weapon on the track.
