Not satisfied with his ballistic Lamborghini Murcielago drift car, Japanese driver Daigo Saito is nearing completion of his latest build, this time using a Ferrari 599 GTB.
Expected to star in a new video featuring the pro drifter and directed by Luke Huxham, Saito’s 599 drift car has been overhauled to ensure it can decimate its rear tires with over 600 hp of naturally-aspirated Italian V12 power.
As has been the case with Saito’s Murcielago drifter as well as his 1,000 hp GT-R and F430, his 599 has been outfitted with a bespoke widebody kit. Additionally, it is rolling on a set of custom wheels with chrome outer lips, has been installed with a towering rear wing and finished off with a selection of other bespoke body panels.
Meanwhile, the cabin has been completely stripped out and fitted with a custom-made roll cage, a new steering wheel, digital gauge cluster and of course, the obligatory hydraulic handbrake protruding out of the transmission tunnel.
It isn’t yet known when we will see this craziest of all 599s but expect to hear and see more soon.
