Driving a supercar on public roads can be a lot of fun, as long as you don’t either get stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic or, conversely, get out on the open road and lose your head. But if you really want to see what one of these six- or seven-figure exotics can do, you need to head to the track.

Fortunately for its clients, McLaren organizes just such events at racing circuits around the world. It’s held Pure McLaren track days at the Nürburgring, Spa-Francorchamps, the Circuit of the Americas in Texas, Sepang in Singapre, and of course Silverstone – home of the British Grand Prix and the site of McLaren’s most recent event.

The back-to-back tracks days brought out a staggering array of Woking’s finest. What’s now termed as the Super Series was well represented, with dozens of 12C, 650S and 675LT supercars. But the 570S and P1 also showcased the opposite ends of the McLaren lineup, joined by track-bound machinery like the 650S GT3, 650S Sprint and the new 570S GT4.

Even Bruno Senna was on hand for what looks like the very kind of event we’re sorry to have missed, but at least we can scope out the action in the 42 images below.
