Looking to pick up a vintage Ferrari in pristine condition? Milan will be the place to be in a month from now, where RM Sotheby’s is holding its Duemila Ruote sale during AutoClassica.
Taking its name from the Italian for “2,000 wheels,” the auction is set to encompass 430 cars (to say nothing of all the motorcycles, bicycles, boats, and other lots). With the full list now published, we can reveal that a whopping 44 of those vehicles consigned wear the Prancing Horse badge on the nose.
The highlights include an F40, a Daytona with plexiglass headlights, a rare alloy-bodied 275, and a gorgeous silver 246 Dino. But that’s just the tip of the proverbial iceberg here.
Are you a fan of Maranello’s contemporary mid-engined V8 line? There’ll be four 308s, a 328, an array of 355s, four 360s, and a 430 Scuderia on offer. Prefer your Ferraris with a V12 in the nose? From the 550 to the 599, you’ll have half a dozen to choose from, including a manual Fiorano, a 550 Barchetta and a flip-lid Superamerica. Boxer twelves? Check out the 512 BB or any of the six Testarossas.
Older models are well represented by the array of 250, 330, and 365-series models. We could go on, but we think you get the point. And the best part is that they’re all being offered without reserve come November 25.
