We may have only just got our first taste of the fifth-generation Nissan Micra at the Paris Auto Show and already, it’s time to salivate over a potential Nismo variant.
Rendered here by artist X-Tomi Design, the car includes a plethora of aggressive new styling touches that distinguish it from the regular model and make it fitting over the Nismo badge.
For starters, the front fascia has been overhauled. Key changes include the implementation of horizontal LED daytime running lights, a splitter incorporating two red elements and a couple of extra air intakes on either side of the grille.
Other changes to the car include black and silver wheels, red brake calipers, red side skirts, contrasting black wing mirrors and tinted taillights.
While it’s unclear if the new Micra will receive a Nismo variant, this rendering certainly gives us hope that if it does, it could shake up the compact hot hatch market.
