If you were looking for a more practical alternative to the E30 BMW M3 back in the late 80s, the Alpina B3 Touring was probably high up on your list.

In terms of performance, the Alpina B3 2.7 was similar to the C2 2.7, which meant 204 PS and 266 Nm (196 lb-ft) of torque resulting in a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time of roughly 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 224 km/h (139 mph).

Alpina built just 254 units of the 325i-based estate from 1987 until 1992 and, understandably, it’s not easy to come across a well-conditioned B3 2.7 such as this one.

This particular car was seen in Varsseveld in the Netherlands by Autogespot user Robin204, wearing a very special shade of blue which has always been associated with the German tuner.

Since it’s almost three decades old, lots of people could still look at it and see a collector’s item, though one that can easily double as a daily driver. Anyone here that wouldn’t fancy one?
