Thanks to its lighter architecture, the all-new Audi Q5 should be able to outperform the previous generation in pretty much everything related to driving dynamics.

Still, be that as it may, there’s no substitute for raw power, and that’s exactly what’s needed here since the engines Audi confirmed thus far for the new Q5 aren’t exactly the “knee-buckling” types.

Of course, the old Q5 did a solid job in SQ5 form, putting down 340 PS and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque while getting from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 5.1 seconds.

The RS Q5 however is rumored to pack no fewer than 450 PS and hit the 100 km/h (62 mph) marker in way under 5 seconds, while possibly looking just as sporty and aggressive as it does here in this rendering by X-Tomi.

Visually, this car has obviously been lowered, gained larger wheels, new bumpers and grille, plus a number of additional black elements that help set it apart from the lesser versions that will be available at launch.
