Few high-performance compact cars can rise to the fame level of the Lancia Delta Integrale, which tends to sell for a small fortune these days.
Listed here is a 1993 Evoluzione II, which was built upon the success of the models that dominated the World Rally Championship in late ’80s and early ’90s.
It is powered by a 2-liter 16-valve turbocharged engine, producing 215 horsepower, an output that would still make it competitive even by today’s standards.
In addition to the extra oomph compared to its predecessors, the Integrale Evo II also came with a 3-way catalytic converter, a Lambda probe and a Marelli integrated engine control system wrapped up under a cosmetic refresh that included the addition of new 16-inch light alloy rims wrapped in 205/45 tires. Inside, the car enjoys a beige Alcantara Recaro seats, with diagonal stitching, and a leather-covered 3-spoke Momo steering wheel.
Despite being just over 23 years old, this hot hatch retains “an excellent sense of originality”, as SilverstoneAuctions writes, and it shows 41,010 km (25,482 miles) on its odometer. A serious bidder should also know that it has been recently serviced and its history file includes the original manual, handbook, and some service records. The Integrale is fully registered in the UK and will be auctioned off at the NEC Classic Motor Show sale, on November 12, where it could fetch between £28,000 and £32,000 ($34,200-$39,100).
