Mercedes entering the pickup truck segment might not sit very well with some, but even they might have a change of heart about the new X-Class Concept when it comes to a possible AMG version.
Nothing’s official yet, and what we’re looking at here is one of X-Tomi’s latest renderings, based on a car that is still technically nothing more than a concept – which means Mercedes could still change some bits before the X-Class goes on sale in late 2017.
Visually, what sets this rendering apart from the Stylish Explorer version of concept are the production-ready mirrors, AMG-styled muscular front bumper, black roof & truck bed cover and AMG wheels.
If it ever gets green lit, it should be powered by an AMG-fettled biturbo V8, either the 557 PS 5.5-liter of the GLE 63, or the 476 PS 4.0-liter of the C 63. In any case, that’ll be one really fast cargo hauler. With a three-pointed star at its snout.
