You can get just about anything on Amazon. Soon there’ll even be a world-class car show launching on the online shopping portal’s video service. One of the few things you can’t order on the site is a new car, but that’s changing – at least in one country, and for one model, from one automaker, on a limited basis.

Seat just announced a collaboration with Amazon.fr that will allow buyers in France to order a special edition of the Mii city car online. The campaign, dubbed #DeliveryToEnjoy, is restricted to fifteen examples of the Seat Mii by Mango, the limited edition of the tiny hatchback customized by the Spanish fashion retail giant.

The special edition features one of three unique exterior colors – Glam Beige, Intense Black, or Atom Glossy – as well as 15-inch wheels in dark grey and velvet-finish side mirrors. Inside they feature black Alcantara upholstery with beige highlights, leather control surfaces, and a matching handbag. It’s based on the same city car that Volkswagen sells as the Up! and which Skoda sells as the Citigo.

Customers who reserve one on Amazon.fr will need to make a €500 deposit, and will then be contacted by a Seat representative to check the validity of their driver’s license and arrange payment for the remaining €10,490. Once the order is completed, the car will be delivered to the buyer’s home within 72 hours.

The collaboration is based on data that 94 percent of new-car buyers start their research online, which is good news (and no surprise) to websites like this one. The campaign takes the Amazon Vehicles hub launched just a couple of months ago that much further, and will hopefully expand even further to more cars in greater quantities in more markets in the near future.
