While trucks and other road-going vehicles are generally rescued by their siblings whenever they get stuck, sometimes the situation calls for a completely different type of intervention.
Here for example, we have this truck that’s unable to rejoin the road due to its wheels having sunk into the soil. However, there’s also very little room in front of it for another vehicle to come and attempt a rescue.
Still, it seems that the driver of that truck lucked out since the Dutch barge ‘Stolt Variante’ was nearby and offered to lend a much needed helping hand.
While the rescue operation seems to get off to a slow start at first, eventually the barge creates enough momentum for the truck to break free and go about its way. It was also nice to see the driver get out, unhook the rope and send out a salute thanking the crew of the ship for their assistance.
Furthermore, according to ShippingHarbors YouTube channel, the barge was traveling “on the channel when it saw the stuck truck and decided to help,” which makes this story even more interesting since it has a sort of “faith in humanity restored” type of vibe.
