Bentley has issued a safety recall for select 2017 Bentayga models in the United States after discovering that the dashboards and seat mechanisms may become lose.

During a routine system review of the vehicles, Bentley found that the system used to store torque values in the car had missing or implausible data, suggesting that some bolts were not tightened to the correct torque. This was later confirmed as true and affects the seat mechanism and instrument panel joints.

Over time, the British marque says that these elements could loosen over time, causing rattling issues. Additionally, the loose components may increase the potential for injury if an affected Bentayga is involved in a crash.

To rectify the problem, Bentley will simply check the torque of the offending bolts and tighten them if necessary. Of course, this will be done free of charge.

A total of 88 units are suspected to be affected.
