Skoda has just given the Octavia a mid-life cycle refresh, and it’s only natural that there’s already interest in an RS version.
For the time being, there are only the plain-Jane versions available, but when it does come out, we expect the RS to be almost identical to this rendering posted by X-Tomi.
This means that the top-of-the-line variant of the Czech brand’s most popular model ever should add a specific grille adorned with the vRS badge, a more aggressive front bumper with larger air intakes, extended side sills, a tweaked rear bumper with an integrated diffuser and larger rims.
We don’t know yet if Skoda will upgrade the powertrains of the facelifted Octavia RS, since the standard versions remain untouched under the hood, but with as much as 220 PS (217 HP) pushed to the wheels by the petrol mill and 184 PS (181 HP) by the diesel, it could use a minor power bump to maintain its competitiveness.
As for an exact reveal date of the more potent Octavia, nothing is known so far, but it would make for an interesting addition at next year’s Geneva Motor Show, which is four months away.
