Following the regular C-Class sedan and estate models, Mercedes was spotted testing the facelifted version of the Coupe model too.

It’s the first time we get to see the updated headlights of the new C-Class which feature a different lighting signature, courtesy of some new LEDs that make it look more premium than before.

The interior is also set to get a refresh, with the most major differences to be found at the new steering wheel which will feature touch-sensitive panels instead of the traditional buttons and new trim and color options.

Just like the sedan and estate prototypes we’ve showed you before, this C-Class Coupe tester is having only its front bumper camouflaged but the finished car is expected with a new rear bumper as well.

As for the engines, it’s almost certain that Mercedes is going to use their latest diesel powertrains that debuted in the E-Class and more specifically the 2.0-litre four-cylinder found in the E200 d and E220 d models.

Traditionally Mercedes is known for trickling down its latest technology features to its more affordable models, so don’t get surprised if the new C-Class will come packed with things like the semi-autonomous systems that debuted in its bigger brother too.
