If video games were cars, what cars would they be? That’s simple enough a question for games like Gran Turismo or Forza, for which the answer is clearly “all of them.” But what about classic titles that otherwise have nothing to do with cars at all?
Carwow has stepped in with the answer – or answers, we should say, in the plural. Because the British car-buying site has identified the car that best corresponds to each of ten timeless video games, and commissioned illustrations to go with each one.
Mario, for example, is equated to a BAC Mono – mostly because it’s the closest thing to a kart. Pac-Man, a nimble and round VW Beetle. Sonic the Hedgehog isn’t a Chevy Sonic, but a punchy and spiky Honda Civic Type R. Tetris, a boxy Volvo 240. The list goes on to include Tomb Raider (Range Rover Evoque), Donkey Kong (Toyota Land Cruiser), Wipeout (Nissan DeltaWing), The Legend of Zelda (Mini), and Half-Live (Audi Q2).
