This seems like a somewhat relevant question seen as how Lotus has gone on and on about how dominant the Evora 400 can be in the world of sports and racing cars.
We say “somewhat relevant” because this is clearly a lightweight track-focused performer, and not necessarily one that’s keen on launching off the line like a missile while maintaining optimum traction.
Power for the Evora 400 comes via a 3.5-liter V6 engine, good for 400 HP and 410 Nm (302 lb-ft) of torque, which gives it its top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph) while also allowing it to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.1 seconds.
In this video, the Lotus goes up against the Mercedes-AMG GT, the Audi RS3 and an older Porsche 911 Turbo, all of which have at least one advantage over the Evora.
The 911 and the Merc have more power, whereas the RS3 and again the 911 are better at launching off the line seen as how the transverse mid-engine Lotus features rear-wheel drive instead of all-wheel drive.
With that in mind, check out how well the Evora 400 performed in these short but quite revealing drag races.
