Unlike the traditional father/son stories we usually get, Petrolicious brings us the story of Jean Francois Majkowski and his daughter Sarah, who happen to own not one but two examples of the Peugeot 205 GTI.
The 205 GTI is widely known as the most exciting hot hatch of the ‘80s. It wasn’t the fastest, but it was the purest in terms of handling, creating a big fan base that remains loyal to this day.
Jean Francois wanted one since he got his driving license in 1985, but the price for a new 205 GTI back then was too much to handle. 25 years later though and with the help of the 205 GTI’s 25th anniversary, HE decided it was time to get his own.
A few months later, he bought a nice white 1.6-litre GTI with his daughter Sarah, only to decide that he needed one more. So he found a 1.9-litre GTI finished in Miami Blue, but unlike the first one, this required a full restoration.
Two years of hard work later, Sarah and Jean managed to bring the blue GTI to like-new condition and now they can be found enjoying their hot hatches on the scenic B roads of the Burgundy wine region.
