Spy photographers recently caught a high-performance Aston Martin DB11 near the Nürburgring and new details are starting to emerge about the model.
According to Autocar, the model will be called the DB11 S and it will be positioned as a competitor to the Bentley Continental GT Supersports. In order to tackle the 700 hp luxury coupe, Aston Martin will reportedly equipped the DB11 S with an upgraded twin-turbo 5.2-liter V12 engine.
The standard model produces 608 hp (453 kW) and speculation suggests the DB11 S will have an additional 30-50 hp (22-37 kW). Should those numbers pan out, the car could accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in around 3.8 seconds before hitting a top speed in excess of 200 mph (321 km/h).
Besides the upgraded engine, the DB11 S will feature a more aggressive front fascia with larger air intakes. The model also has a new front splitter and lightweight alloy wheels that are backed up by a high-performance braking system. The report goes on to suggest the car will be equipped with a sportier suspension and a reduced ride height.
If the rumors pan out, the DB11 S will be launched late next year and cost around £20,000 ($25,979) more than the standard V12 model.
