Kia released a new gallery of the Stonic, a sub-compact crossover that aims to steal customers away from the Nissan Juke and Renault Captur, among others.
The new Kia Stonic claims to be the brand’s most customizable model ever, as it will be offered in 20 two-tone color combinations, with a choice of five colors for the roof.
The interior will also offer plenty of personalization options, thanks to the available range of vivid color packs. The modern infotainment system comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard.
The engine range includes the turbocharged 1.0-liter T-GDI with 120PS, as well as the naturally aspirated 1.25- and 1.4-liter petrol engines. There’s also a 1.6-liter diesel option which offers the lowest emissions in the Stonic’s range.
Kia says that the steering and suspension has been tuned with European customers in mind, offering a fun-to-drive character on the road and a stable ride. The new Stonic shares its platform with the also new Hyundai Kona.
The active safety range includes features like Autonomous Emergency Braking with pedestrian recognition and Forward Collision Alert, Blind Spot Detection with Rear Cross Traffic Alert and a Lane Departure Warning System.
The new Kia Stonic is expected to hit the European market later this year, with a US debut probably set for December at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
