In terms of titans clashing on the runway, it doesn’t get a lot more epic than a 750 PS track-focused Lamborghini taking on the iconic Porsche 911 Turbo S.
While it’s true that the Porsche is underpowered compared to the Aventador SV, it’s not like that’s ever stopped the 911 from giving just about any car a good run for its money.
Where the 911 Turbo S is good for 580 PS (572 HP) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque, the Lamborghini Aventador SV flexes no fewer than 750 PS (740 HP) and 690 Nm (508 lb-ft) of torque of its own. In other words, less torque, but considerably more power.
On paper, their 0-100 km/h (62 mph) times are very comparable, with the Lambo needing 2.8 seconds to hit the mark, whereas the 991 Turbo S can do it in 2.9 seconds. Also worth noting is that while this drag race put together by YouTuber Archie Hamilton features both standing as well as rolling starts, the cars don’t actually race over very long distances.
If they had, then the Aventador SV’s top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph) would have definitely trumped the Porsche’s 330 km/h (205 mph).
