Following a report last month, Mazda has confirmed the 2018 Mazda3 will be priced from $18,095.
Currently arriving at U.S. dealerships, the updated model features a host of minor changes including newly standard Smart City Brake Support.
The entry-level Mazda3 Sport comes equipped with a push-button ignition, power windows / locks, and a 7-inch Mazda Connect infotainment system. Power is provided by a familiar 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 155 hp (115 kW).
Moving up to the $20,090 Mazda3 Touring rewards buyers a six-way power driver’s seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and leatherette seating surfaces. The car also boasts rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights, and heated front seats.
Changes are fairly limited but include new illuminated vanity mirrors, an overhead sunglasses holder, and revised alloy wheels with a dark silver finish. More importantly, the car now comes equipped with a 2.5-liter Skyactiv-G engine developing 184 hp (137 kW).
Besides the new engine and equipment, the Mazda3 Touring offer a new options package which includes a moonroof, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a nine-speaker Bose audio system.
The range-topping Grand Touring variant starts at $23,145 and boasts perforated leather seats and a head-up display. The 2018 model also gains newly standard LED head- and taillights.
Customers will also have the option of ordering a revised Premium Equipment Package which costs $1,600 and includes a heated steering wheel, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and an assortment of driver assistance systems such as radar cruise control and lane keep assist.
