While we weren’t entirely sure until now, we’ve long suspected that Mercedes-AMG’s upcoming GT4 sedan will feature a dual-panel layout inside, just like the new E-Class.
Thanks to these new images, we can see the screens and a little “air vent action” going on, although the interior remains mostly hidden from curious camera lenses.
There’s also an E-Class displayed on one of the screens found inside this GT4 prototype, which is undoubtedly just a temporary solution until the car is ready to be revealed to the world.
In terms of styling, seen as how this is the exact prototype we were looking at back in August (same license plate), there’s nothing new to report. Well, the active spoiler is raised at the back, marking the first time we’ve seen it – previous prototypes either had it down, or they had body cladding masking the rear end entirely.
Recently, we’ve learned from Mercedes that the four-door GT4 is meant to “continue the success story of the AMG GT” and that it will be marketed as a “dynamic fastback” with a “variable interior and luggage compartment”. We can definitely expect this car to be a strong daily driver.
Under its bonnet, expect 612 PS (604 HP) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque for the flagship version (thought to be called the GT S), although an even more extreme model with 805 horses could arrive later on.
The Mercedes-AMG GT4 is expected to make its debut sometime next year.
