Just when you thought the Ferrari FXX K could get any crazier, the carmaker has rolled out an FXX K Evoluzione prototype at Monza and it almost makes the ‘regular’ model seem bland.
Following in the tradition of the FXX Evoluzione and 599XX Evoluzione, the FXX K Evoluzione will be even faster and ostentatious and as the clip below shows, adorned with a plethora of new aerodynamic parts.
The design changes visible on this prototype are rather mind-blowing. At the front, there is a more pronounced splitter and two canards on either side of the bumper but it’s the rear where most of the action is happening.
The small rear winglets of the FXX K have been ditched in favor of a huge rear wing stretching the width of the track-only hypercar. Joining the wing is an F1 and Le Mans-inspired shark fin which appears to include downforce generating fins on either side. Like the road-going LaFerrari, there is also an active spoiler and a diffuser that goes well beyond the one of the standard FXX K.
Alongside the visual modifications, it is inevitable that Ferrari will tweak the car’s powertrain. The FXX K already has 1,050 PS on tap courtesy of its 6.3-liter V12 engine and electric motor. A figure nearer or even exceeding 1,200 PS for the Evoluzione seems likely.
