It is not just Mercedes-AMG putting on a show in Frankfurt as Mercedes-Maybach has also brought along two of its wildest creations from recent years.
The first is the Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet. The out-of-this-world model was revealed earlier this year prior to the Geneva Motor Show and follows in the footsteps of the G63 AMG 6×6 and the G500 4×4².
Only 99 examples are destined for the production line and each will use a biturbo 6.0-liter V12 with 630 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque courtesy of AMG. Like its siblings, the Landaulet includes portal axles, resulting in an incredible 450 mm of ground clearance. If you want to go off-roading in comfort, the G650 is simply unrivalled.
As for the second Maybach model on display, it takes the form of the 6 Cabriolet concept from last month’s Monterey Car Week. It follows on from the coupe and while no confirmation has been given as to whether it’ll reach production, Mercedes has spared no expense in ensuring it is fully-operational. By comparison, the coupe was radio-controlled.
Beneath the elongated skin are four electric motors delivering a combined 750 PS, allowing the concept to reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in less than four seconds and a 155 mph (250 km/h) top speed.
