Mercedes’ new S-Class Cabriolet has been priced from £115,910 (equal to $155,377) in the UK, which will land you the S 560 AMG Line version.
Meanwhile, the Mercedes-AMG S63 and S65 models will set you back £140,610 ($188,487) and £197,510 ($264,762) respectively, and that’s before you start adding on optional extras.
The S 560 is only available in AMG Line trim, and comes with what can only be described as a really wide array of standard features, ranging from the 12.3-inch dual-bonded widescreen display to the Magic Vision Control wiper system.
It also has Aircap, Airscarf, wireless phone charging, airmatic air suspension, Comand Online, Intelligent Light system, Keyless Go Comfort package with Remote Boot opening, Memory package (electrically adjustable seats and steering wheel), ambient lighting with a choice of 64 colors, ventilated seats, a Burmester surround sound system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity and 19″ alloys.
Going for the S 63 version means adding the Seat Comfort package, which includes the massage function, the Driver Assistance package, AMG sports exhaust and sports suspension, AMG sports seats finished in Nappa leather, the AMG Panamericana grille and larger, 20″ alloys.
As for the S 65, it comes standard with Mercedes’ all-new Energizing Comfort package, the Warmth Comfort package, Night View Assist Plus, Air Balance package, 360-degree camera, head-up display, Burmester high-end surround system and the Intelligent Light System with Swarovski crystals.
Also, S 560 buyers can spec their cars with the Premium equipment line, which adds Nappa leather, the 360-degree camera, Warmth Comfort package, Front Seat Comfort package, Air Balance package and the Energizing Comfort package, all for £4,995.
The Driving Assistance package, which comes standard on the S 63 and S 65, is available as an optional extra on the S 560 for £2,580 ($3,458), or £1,695 ($2,272) if you get it with the Premium equipment line. This package adds a multitude of driving assistance systems such as Active Distance Assist, Active Steering Assist, Active Speed Limit Assist, Active Braking Assist, Evasive Steering Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist and Pre-Safe Plus.
Powering the S 560, which replaces the outgoing S 500, is a new 4.0-liter biturbo V8 petrol unit, good for 469 PS (463 HP) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. The S 63 and S 65 produce 612 PS (603 HP) and 630 PS (621 HP) respectively, the latter utilizing a 6.0-liter V12 rather than a 4.0-liter V8.
