The Mazda MX-5 range is about to welcome a new member, the Z-Sport, a special edition of the popular roadster that’s limited to just 300 units.
Created exclusively for the UK market, the open-top model will go on sale on March 1, priced from £25,595 ($34,312). It will then try to lure customers away from the competition with its Machine Grey Metallic paint, Deep Cherry Red fabric roof and 17-inch black BBS rims.
Meanwhile, the numbered Z-Sport plaque on the dashboard, Sand Leather seats, Z-Sport floor mats and scuff plates round up the list of novelties inside.
However, since the limited edition car builds upon the Sport Nav grade, it also gets LED headlights, keyless entry, climate control, navigation system, DAB radio, Bilstein dampers, strut brace, and a limited slip differential
There’s nothing special about its power unit though, as the 2.0-liter engine, rated at 160PS (158hp) and 200Nm (148lb-ft) of torque, is the sole choice. Getting from 0 to 100km/h (62mph) takes 7.3 seconds, while the top speed is rated at 214km/h (133mph).
