Toyota has announced that it will start to reproduce select spare parts for the A70 and A80 Supra through the GR Heritage Parts Project and sell them both domestically and internationally.

The project is an initiative to start reproducing parts that aren’t currently available to ensure A70 and A80 Supra owners can continue driving their vehicles well into the future. As it stands, just a handful of parts have been confirmed to be reproduced.

For the A70 Supra, Toyota will start to reproduce the propeller shaft, door handle, fuel sender gauge, weather strip and front emblem, while for the A80 Supra it will initially reproduce the headlights, door handle and brake booster. The Japanese marque hopes to start retail sales of the parts this year, but warns manufacturing delays could push that out to 2021.

Great News For Enthusiasts: Toyota To Restart Production Of Mk3 And Mk4 Supra Parts

Toyota will display some of the reproduced parts at the Tokyo Auto Salon.

Should any Supra owners be disappointed that Toyota won’t reproduce a specific part they may need, the car manufacturer does have a request form available online where owners can say what parts they’d like to see reproduced. Toyota will total up all the requests it receives and use this data when making decisions about which parts are most in demand to be made.

Toyota isn’t the only company to launch such a heritage program in recent years. In 2017, Nissan announced that it would start reproducing parts for the R32, R33, and R34 generation Skyline. Similarly, Mazda has a reproduction parts program for the MX-5 Miata.
