A series of new shots showcasing the facelifted Q5 have come across our desks from our trusty spy photographers over at the Old Continent.

Audi has been testing the 2020 Q5 for quite some time, and these images show the updated interior for the first time. Those who were expecting significant alterations may be slightly disappointed, as only minor changes have been made.

Most significantly, the cabin of the new Q5 features a larger touchscreen, said to measure 10.1-inches, jutting out from the top of the dashboard. The HVAC controls have also been tweaked, as has the center console. The prototype in question is running with a set of analog gauges, but Audi’s 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit will be available.

As for the exterior design, it will look very similar to the Q8 albeit on a smaller scale, with sharp headlights and taillights a little different than those of the recently facelifted Q7. In addition, the front and rear bumpers will be refreshed for the latest model year.

Most of the current engines will be retained for the facelifted model. The range should include a 2.0-liter diesel in 161 and 187 HP versions, and a 3.0-liter V6 diesel with 228 or 282 HP. There will, of course, be a selection of petrol units as well, including a 2.0-liter turbo four with 242 HP, as well as a plug-in hybrid.

The revamped SUV will also get sportier SQ5 TDI and SQ5 variants. The first will be powered by a 3.0-liter V6 with 342 HP and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm), while the petrol version will deliver 349 HP and 369 lb-ft (500 Nm) from its 3.0-liter V6.
