The Jaguar XE SV Project 8 was billed as a four-door sedan with “genuine supercar performance,” but it appears customers weren’t terribly interested.

Case in point, we found one dealer in Virginia with three brand-new models in stock. That’s 1% of the car’s entire production run of 300 units globally.

Furthermore, Jaguar Chantilly is offering them at a $30,495 discount and could potentially sell them for even less than their “internet price” of $158,000. That’s a significant discount but, even at that price, each model costs more than twice as much as the Mercedes-AMG C63 S Sedan which starts at $75,700.

Of course, the XE SV Project 8 is a lot more special as the only body components that carryover from the standard model are the aluminum roof and front door skins. They’re joined by an assortment of carbon fiber components including the bumpers, front fenders and ventilated hood.

The modifications don’t end there as the model has an adjustable suspension, a flat underbody and bespoke carbon ceramic brakes. It also boasts a differential oil cooler, an adjustable front splitter, an adjustable rear wing and ceramic wheel bearings that are similar to those used in grand prix cars.  Capping things off are 20-inch wheels which are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.

Power is provided by a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine that produces 592 hp (441 kW / 600 PS) and 516 lb-ft (699 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission which sends power to a standard all-wheel drive system. This setup enables the car to rocket from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.4 seconds and onto a top speed of 200 mph (322 km/h).

Those are some pretty impressive numbers and it’s also worth mentioning the XE SV Project 8 was able to lap the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 7 minutes and 21.23 seconds.  The company later beat that time with a Track Pack equipped variant which lapped the Green Hell in 7 minutes and 18.361 seconds.  To put those times into perspective, both beat laps posted by the Ferrari 488 GTB and Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4.
