Posaidon is a firm believer that tuning jobs should include a huge bump in power and not much else, and their upgrade kit for the Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe follows this recipe to the letter.

Priced at €52,000 ($63,048) in Germany, the ultimate stage of their 830+ tune bumps the output and torque of the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 from 612 PS (603 HP / 450 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) to 940 PS (927 HP / 691 kW) and 1,280 Nm (944 lb-ft).

This was achieved by using high-performance turbos with ball bearings, downpipes with sport catalytic converters, a sport air filter, cylinder head porting, valve seat alternations, a water/methanol injection system with optional tank, and engine and transmission software remap. The result is 2.8 seconds required for the 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint and a 350 km/h (217 mph) limited top speed to preserve the tires.

The tuner also has more tamed upgrades in store, like the one that ups the output to 880 PS (868 HP / 647 kW) and 1,200 Nm (885 lb-ft). It costs €29,990 ($36,362) and allows the luxury coupe to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.9 seconds, while top speed is still capped at 350 km/h (217 mph). This kit makes do without the aftermarket injection system, valve seat alterations and cylinder head porting of the previous tune.

In return for €24,000 ($29,099), the stage 2 uses upgraded turbochargers to increase power to 830 PS (818 HP / 610 kW) and 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft), for a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.0 seconds. Stage 1, which utilizes only a software upgrade for the ECU, is priced at a more down-to-earth €4,200 ($5,092) and offers 700 PS (690 HP / 515 kW) and 950 Nm (701 lb-ft). This version has a maximum speed of 330 km/h (205 mph) and hits the 100 km/h (62 mph) mark in 3.2 seconds from a standstill.

On a final note, Posaidon said that they are working on the ultimate upgrade for this lump, which will exceed 1,000 PS (986 HP / 736 kW), and just like the ones that are already available, it will suit all Mercedes-AMG models that use the 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8.
