People are waiting for the reveal of the production-spec BMW XM but until it arrives, the M8 retains the title for the performance flagship of the Bavarian automaker’s range. Tuning company Zacoe is offering carbon fiber styling packages for both the M8 and the M850i, showcased in Gran Coupé and Coupé forms.
While the M8 Gran Coupé is all about subtle sportiness, there are a few owners that look for something more eyecatching. For them, Zacoe has designed a more prominent splitter, side sill extensions, an add-on to the rear diffuser surrounding the quad tailpipes, plus a prominent rear wing. Alternatively, the tuner is offering a duck-tail design for the rear spoiler that looks more in line with the vehicle’s styling and this is where we would put our money.

The car’s road presence is enhanced by the black-finished wheels with five double spokes, shod in performance tires. We guess that the upgrades are compatible with the two-door Coupé and Convertible bodystyles as well since the front and rear ends are identical. Finally, a similar kit is offered for the BMW M850i with slightly less subtle bumper extensions and the ducktail spoiler we mentioned earlier.
Zacoe doesn’t mention prices on its official website. Besides the carbon-fiber bits, the tuner didn’t change anything under the skin. Mind you, the stock BMW M8 is fitted with a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 producing 616 hp (460 kW / 625 PS) in Competition form, while the BMW M850i xDrive gets a detuned version of the V8 with “only” 523 hp (390 kW / 530 PS).
The 8-Series Coupé, Convertible, and Gran Coupé are expected to receive a mid-life facelift sometime in 2022 including subtle visual changes and infotainment upgrades, allowing them to march on for a few more years before BMW ushers in the fully electric era.
