Stellantis’ French luxury brand, DS Automobiles, is gearing up to revamp its lineup with a new flagship model, the DS N°8—or as some might call it, the DS No8, for ease of typing. Photos of the high-riding sedan have surfaced online ahead of its official debut, offering an almost complete look at the vehicle. The fully electric crossover introduces a fresh naming strategy and marks the brand’s first production model to utilize Stellantis’ STLA Medium architecture.

This latest reveal follows a series of teasers from DS Automobiles, including lightly camouflaged prototypes and a single interior shot. Now, these newly surfaced low-resolution images provide a closer look at the exterior details and an alternate interior trim. While the grainy quality might annoy some, there’s no doubting the authenticity of these photos.

The standout feature of the exterior is the fully covered grille with an illuminated backdrop. Slim DS Pixel Vision headlights, paired with sharp DRLs that extend toward the bumper, evoke Peugeot-like vibes and echo the shape of the taillights. Another distinctive element is the steeply raked C-pillars, styled to resemble flying buttresses.

The hood, pillars, mirrors, and roof of the displayed model are finished in black, creating a striking contrast against the main bodywork and complementing the subtle plastic cladding along the profile. Additional notable details include new alloy wheels, flush door handles, and the N°8 emblem on the tailgate.

A Premium Cabin

Inside, the cabin reveals a trim featuring saddle-colored upholstery paired with black accents. The premium aesthetic is in line with DS Automobiles’ upscale positioning within the Stellantis portfolio. Other key interior highlights include a digital instrument cluster positioned behind a four-spoke steering wheel and a wide infotainment display angled toward the driver. The floating center console, with its touch-sensitive control panels, feels like it was plucked straight from a concept car.

DS designers incorporated ambient lighting to accentuate the dashboard inserts, which seamlessly flow into the door panels. Additionally, an Electra 3D audio system by Focal adds a final touch of luxury to the cabin.

Electric Exclusivity and STLA Underpinnings

It has been officially confirmed that the DS N°8 will be exclusively available with a fully electric powertrain, offering a maximum range of 466 miles (750 km). The new model shares its STLA Medium underpinnings with the Peugeot 3008/5008, Opel Grandland, and the upcoming Citroen C5 Aircross, which are also available in mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid forms.

Earlier this month, DS said that the debut of the N°8 would take place in “a couple of weeks”. Judging from the photos that appeared on the CocheSpias Forum before going viral on social media, it seems likely that the unveiling could happen over the next few days.
