Race car drivers are a funny bunch. In this video, we see Brazilian Formula 1 driver and the nephew of the late three-time Formula One world champ Ayrton Senna, Bruno Senna, behind the wheel of the new Renault R30 at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium. “Oh,” you say in your most jaded tone, “How interesting.” Well it is interesting, as Senna is driving this 2,400 cc (146.5 cu in) single-handed while filming the action with a camera phone.
It’s pretty fun to watch too with that great, “whaaaarb,” sound that all F1 cars seem to make these days. Though Senna isn’t one to mislead the kiddies, with a friendly-yet-stern, “Don’t use your phone and drive!!” at the end of the video description.
I suppose it’s OK when he does it being a professional driver and all, in an enclosed environment with no other drivers. Feel free to debate this among yourselves in the comments section below. And don’t forget to check out the vid, too!
