Coachbuilt Corvettes are a dime a dozen these days, but only a select few builds manage to stand out from the crowd. The most recent Corvette-based proposal to pop up in the news is the new SC-1 from Endora-Cars, a company based in Karlshuld, a municipality in the district of Neuburg-Schrobenhausen in Bavaria, Germany.

Now, seeing that the SC-1 captured the attention of you, our readers (albeit in a sort of love-it-or-hate-it kind of way), we came in contact with Endora Cars and asked their spokesman, Björn Marek, a few questions about their Corvette-based build. Follow the jump to read our Q&A session with Marek.

Carscoop: When should we expect to see the real-life version of the Endora SC-1?

Björn Marek: As soon as we have found enough interested buyers for the SC-1, it could go into production right away.

Carscoop: Will it be built to order?

Björn Marek: It will be made to order, directly to the customer’s detailed wishes.

Carscoop: Where will the car be produced?

Björn Marek: The body and details will be built in Germany.

Carscoop: Is the SC-1 powered and based on the Corvette platform as well, and if so, which model?

Björn Marek: It is based on the current, sixth generation Corvette platform. It is a well built sports car, so we chose it as the base for the SC-1.

Carscoop: Could you provide us with a starting price estimate for the production version of the SC-1?

Björn Marek: A rough price estimate – not for the first prototype but for every following car – would be approximately €130,000 (equal to $185,000 at the current exchange rates).
