The new Cruze hatchback will arrive in Chevrolet’s UK dealerships next month with on-the-road prices starting from £13,995 (US$23,000), the automaker announced today. Customers can choose from three engines including two petrol units, a 124HP 1.6-liter and a 141HP 1.8-liter, and a 2.0-liter turbo diesel delivering 163-horsepower. All engines can be coupled to either a manual gearbox or an automatic transmission.
There are three available trim levels – LS, LT and LTZ. The base LS model comes fitted with air conditioning, remote locking, electric-front windows, follow-me-home headlights, electrically-adjustable heated door mirrors and a quality radio/CD player with auxiliary input as standard.
Moving up to the LT trim gets you cruise control, electric windows all round, a multi-function trip computer, parking distance sensors, 16-inch alloy wheels, front fog lamps, steering wheel audio controls and a leather steering wheel and gearknob.
Sitting at the top of the range is the LTZ model that gains including Bluetooth, a USB port, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights, an electro-chromatic rear view mirror, 17-inch alloys and aluminium-effect trim on the instrument panel.
Buyers of the LTZ spec Cruze HB5 Diesel can also opt for the Executive Pack, which gets leather trim as standard, along with satellite navigation and heated front seats.
