Alfa Romeo has commissioned a one-off art piece to mark the UK launch of its congestion charge free MiTo 1.3 JTDM-2 Sprint, which is powered by an 85-horsepower turbo diesel that emits 95g/km of CO2 .
The Italian automaker approached artist Louise Dear who accepted the challenge and painted the car in a floral backdrop with a mix of flamboyant colours, while also incorporating elements of the Alfa Romeo logo and the Cloverleaf symbol.
“I really wanted to capture Alfa Romeo’s heritage and elegance within my creation, while bringing out the stylish and fashionable aspects of the Alfa MiTo,” said Dear on her creation.
The rolling artwork was unveiled during a special event at Artica Galleries, Covent Garden (part of the Castle Galleries group) on July 14.
