It’s show time for Citroën that is getting ready to display the complete DS line for the first time in Europe at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Unless the French automaker is hiding a surprise under the hat, the company’s star attraction will be the final production version of the DS5, which will be making its first appearance on European soil after its debut in showcar trim at this year’s Shanghai auto show.

The five-door crossover model measures 4.52 meters in length, 1.50 meters in height and 1.85 m in width, and is positioned between the C4 and the C5.

The DS5 is Citroën’s first production model to feature PSA’s HYbrid4 full-hybrid diesel technology. The system combines a 2.0-liter turbo diesel with an electric motor delivering 200-ponies, while also offering four wheel drive capability, a pure electric mode and an acceleration boost function for the open road, with total CO2 emissions from just 99g/km.

Citroën’s new model will begin arriving in European dealerships by the end of the year.

In addition to the DS5, the French carmaker will also be showcasing the new DS3 ‘Ultra Prestige’ special edition that is said to celebrate the sales success of the model with Citroën claiming 100,000 orders in 18 months since launch.

On the outside, the Ultra Prestige model features a special ‘Monogramme’ décor on the roof along with exclusive 17-inch charcoal-grey diamond-effect wheels and a ‘Dark Chrome’ finish on the wing mirrors, door strips and front grille.

Inside, the seats and door panels are covered in ‘watchstrap’ leather, with the dashboard strip trimmed in ‘Alpin Weiss’ white club leather, while the color of the dials on the instrument cluster match the white of the interior detailing.

The 300bhp Citroën Total World Rally Team DS3 WRC will also make a special appearance at the Frankfurt Show.
