Ford’s marketing countdown for the unveiling of the production 2012 Focus ST continues with the release of a second video featuring Jost Capito, Director of Global Performance Vehicles and Motorsport Business Development.

Once again, we find Capito driving the development prototype, but this time he talks about the collaboration between Ford’s European Team RS and North American SVT.

You can see watch him in the video clip below, but for those that prefer to read, here’s what Capito said:

“Driving the latest prototype of the first Ford global performance vehicle is really great. And it’s great to see how the integration worked with the European Team RS and the American SVT team – they are working together as one global performance vehicle team. So all the expertise from both groups now got into this vehicle.

You know, the expertise from the Shelby GT500, from the Raptor, all that stuff, all these engineers, these great engineers come in here as well and combine with the engineers who have done the former Focus ST and Focus RS, and that coming together, I’m so proud of what the outcome is already.

And driving the first prototype, I can tell you we will get there spot on with the Focus ST for all markets. I guarantee you that it will be a car worth while waiting for.”
